Ingredients for making green corn cake with Minas cheese:

12 units of firm corn on the cob

1½ cups of sugar (240 grams)

 1 cup melted butter

1 cup of chopped fresh Minas cheese

 3 egg units

 4 tablespoons of wheat flour

 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

 1 teaspoon of baking powder

How to make green corn cake with Minas cheese:

Prepare this green corn cake with cheese by cutting the corn and beating in a blender along with the eggs. Then add the sugar, butter, flour and cornstarch and beat until everything is combined.

Tip: Do not cut the corn too close to the cob to avoid hard pieces.

Add yeast and mix with a spoon. Strain the mass through a sieve (to filter the hard corn pieces) and place in a greased central hole mold and sprinkled with cornmeal. Sink the cheese pieces into the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes, or until the toothpick comes out dry.

After the previous step, your corn cake with Minas cheese is ready! Let it cool before unmolding and enjoy this traditional Brazilian recipe. Enjoy your food!
